Step back in time as you enter the door A sensitive tree in farmyard grew, I lay here thinking "I cannot tell a lie to you".
crooked boards cover the floor. and the Kerr Lake winds fed it with silvery dew, I wish you all would eat more chicken, I do!
Posters and signs stuck on the walls and glass, and the flowers opened up all feathery pink, I Can't pretend to tell you,
cobwebs hang reminding me of the past. and drop their seeds in the ground to sink, with any fancy words;
For so many years’ people cum to this place, and it opened its fan-like leaves to the light, I simply want you all,
look around you’ll see the local's face. and closed them beneath the kisses of night. to eat more of them tasty birds !
Scents of beef jerky and famous round cheese,
cut me a thick slice, will you pleaze.
The fishermen come to tell their stories,
they talk about weather, dawgs, boats and trucks,
some brag about big bass they might have caught,
and fill up with gas to spend a few bucks.
Long wooden benches line the porch,
where you can sit in the sun a bit and scorch.
Take some time to sip an ice cool drink,
or look around, simply rest and think.
Across the road sits the Cabin in the Woods,
it’s a secret place, inhabitants unknown.
Surrounded by pines, enjoy the view,
because you are one of the lucky few.
Buchanan’s is old, rusty, and long ago faded.
It’s here to stay for more time to come.
The handwritten sign over the door tells a bit,
"If we aint got it, you don’t need it! "
