I remember as a child how much my mother cared for the family silverware. It would be removed from the wooden box and used only on Sunday's or special holidays like Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. We would polish it bright on Saturday afternoons and carefully place it back in the wooden box were it lay waiting for a special event. When we "set the table" I remember the sounds of the silverware tingling as we placed it to the left and right sides of the dinner plate. Most households don't use formal silverware these days. I transform silverware into windchimes that are both beautiful and have that lovely tingling sound I remember as a child.
